Peace Education

The 2nd Global Peace Education Day Conference will take place on the 20th September 2022.

Our theme this year is “Empowering Educators for Peace” and covers a range of topics, linked to the UN development goals, promoting a culture of peace. We are also launching our petition to the UN calling for a Global Peace Education Day.

Forty-five distinguished peace educators have already agreed to speak this year.

Feedback from last year was overwhelmingly positive. Our speakers included Ambassador Anwarul Chowdhury, former Undersecretary General for the United Nations; Frederico Mayor Zaragoza, former Director General of UNESCO, Dot Maver, founder of the National Peace Academy, Kehkashan Basu, founder of the Green Hope Foundation, Prem Rawat, honorary peace ambassador and founder of TPRF, and the late Avon Mattison, founder of Pathways to Peace.

Contributions will be used to pay for direct expenses of the 2022 conference and/or future conferences.
